Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward
This weeks photo challenge from WordPress is “Forward“. This is a word I find very positive.
Michelle (of WordPress fame) has a picture of a very beautiful stone path on the challenge page. Paths are always there to lead you forward. The picture of a path ahead of you draws you into it and encourages imagination.
The word “forward” has a several meanings. It can indicate the direction in front of you, refer to the future or progress. We describe someone who is confident as being forward and when we make an effort we put our best foot forward.
Here are some of the paths I have walked, forward was the only direction.
Michelle’s path is now the 98th in my collection of paths. This one of sheep on a path by Erin Cole Roth is one of my favourites. It was taken in Ireland.
You can see all my other paths on my “Fantastic Paths“board on Pinterest if you would like to. To look at other people’s takes on this weeks photo challenge go to the WordPress Weekly photo challenge page. The first 100 are linked below.

Awesome capture of pathways ….. my favorite thing, besides trees, to photograph.
I adore pathways as you can see. I had to restrict myself severely to just these pictures. Trees – I adore trees. I find dead trees very artistic. I have a collection of them too on pinterest. Thanks for your comment.
Those photos have a timeless quality to them. I would love to mosey down any of those paths.
Thank you Kelly. Paths are like that aren’t they? They invite you to walk down them.
Some interesting paths up there, Kerry -with a feel of the past about them. Love the one with the sheep -what an amazing path and journey for them to take.
Best wishes,
Suzy
Thank you Suzy. The one with the sheep is one of my favourites. Paths are lovely things.
Great pics. Kinda makes one want to ramble…..
Paths do that and there are so many of them.

That Henry IV bridge really does look like it arose out of the mists of time – great selections (love the sheep) and thanks for the ping back!
The bridge is so old and so narrow. It is worn down in the centre from hundreds of years of use. You are welcome for the ping back

Love the photo of the sheep
They are def moving forward. I wonder what would have happened if one of them tried to turn round and go in the other direction
That is one of my favourite pictures. Not sure what would happen if one turned. A sheep jam?
Thanks for the ping back. … As I love the ancient pathways of Europe your images appeal to me. To think of all the people who have progressed through those passages before. Makes the mind boggle … Thanks again and be well, Dorothy
You are welcome Dorothy. History oozes out of those pathways and passages.
This is a really nice gallery. “Forward into the fog” is my favorite.
Thank you. That is me going into the fog up a mountain in Ireland. I got very lost but had fun.

The pictures are simply great! Forward in the fog is really how I am feeling right now: I keep soldiering on but am not sure where I will land…
Sometimes I am in the fog and sometimes on the top of the mountain – if it’s a clear day I can see the world.

Very good response to the “forward” challenge! I love fog shots. They are so eerily beautiful. So you’re on Pininterest too? I haven’t ventured over there. Yet. That might not be a forward move for me.
Thanks Kathy I am glad you liked the pictures. The fog picture is me on our walking holiday in Ireland – you might recognise it from the story. I was leading us up into the mountains.
Pintrest seems to be just a place where you can gather pictures of things you like from around the web. It is fun but I don’t use it often. Everyone raves about it but as yes I don’t see it as more than a sort of e-scrapbook.
Reblogged this on My Radar Blog.
FYI… you landed in my Spam folder, probably because of excessive ping back mentions? …
I did rather overdo it. Seems so unfair to leave anyone out though. Maybe I’ll just put a link back to the main page from now on. Thank you for letting me know.
