Illuminating Blogger Award

What a lovely surprise to receive an “Illuminating Blogger Award” from Debaroon from the blog MyLores where he writes poetry inspired by the world and international events.

Thank you Debaroon for bestowing this award on me. I am so pleased that you like my blog and find it illuminating. I will be sure to display the award.

Debaroon asked me to share a random thing about myself and to pass the award on to five other illuminating blogs :

I have almost run out of unknown random facts about me. A lot of them were published with the other awards on this blog and during the blog tour that I took in November 2012.  I write about myself a lot on my blog so I think people know me. I will tell you something that I don’t think has been published so far. I am currently studying philosophy with Edinburgh University.

It was difficult to choose only five blogs from the many that I find Illuminating. I wanted to give an award to all the lovely blogs that helped me with my book blog tour, it would be so unfair to choose one over the others.  However as I am limited I have chosen the following:-

Laurie’s Thoughts and reviews. I chose Laurie because she does such a lot for Indie authors and organises huge give aways This must serve to represent all those who help indie authors and all those who hosted me on my tour.

The French Village Diaries. This is a great blog to visit if you want to know things about French life. It is one of a number that I regularly drop into for recipes, book reviews and other information about France.

The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap. This book was one of my favourite reads of 2012.  Paulette is a very Illuminating person. She works tirelessly to sell her books in order that she can rescue dogs from kill shelters and support a no kill shelter.  Her book is about tolerance and it embodies values we should all embrace.

French Girl in Seattle.  A great blog for anyone considering a visit to France or indeed coming to live here. Hints and tips about what makes the French so French and the rest of the world not French. It is delightful and written by someone who knows.

Boomie Bol.  A writer and poet that I have followed for a year. It has been a privilege to see how well this talent has developed.

I recommend these blogs to you and hope that you will go and have a look.
